NEW DELHI: At CNN’s ‘SheShakti2024’ event, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud took the spotlight alongside the acclaimed singer Usha Uthup. In an unexpected twist, Uthup and Chandrachud delivered a charming rendition of the classic “Summer Wine,” originally performed by Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra.

Just days before the event, on September 11, 2024, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud hosted a Ganpati Puja at his New Delhi residence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the ceremony, donning traditional Maharashtrian attire.

On social media, the Prime Minister shared, “Joined Ganesh Puja at the residence of CJI, Justice DY Chandrachud Ji. May Bhagwan Shri Ganesh bless us all with happiness, prosperity, and wonderful health.” A video of the occasion showcased the warm reception extended to PM Modi by CJI Chandrachud and his wife.

Meanwhile, Usha Uthup is a prominent figure in Indian pop, jazz, and playback music. Renowned for her rich, powerful voice and trailblazing contributions to Indian pop, Uthup has been a well-known name since the 1970s.
