‘Constitutional Journeys Beyond Original Intent’: CJI Chandrachud to Deliver MK Nambyar Memorial Lecture Today at 5pm

Today, On 26th September, Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, will deliver the MK Nambyar Memorial Lecture today at 5 PM. The event will take place at Auditorium 1, Bharat Mandapam, with the topic focusing on “Foresighted Mr. MK Nambyar – Constitutional Journeys Beyond Original Intent.” This lecture will honor the legacy of MK Nambyar, a renowned constitutional expert, by exploring his contributions to constitutional law and their relevance in contemporary times.

New Delhi: Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud is set to deliver the prestigious MK Nambyar Memorial Lecture today at 5:00 PM in New Delhi. The lecture will take place at Auditorium 1 of Bharat Mandapam and will focus on the theme, “Foresighted Mr. MK Nambyar – Constitutional Journeys Beyond Original Intent.”

MK Nambyar, a distinguished figure in Indian legal history, remembered for his significant contributions to constitutional law. He is also the father of Senior Advocate and former Attorney General of India, KK Venugopal.

The event will commence with an introductory address by KK Venugopal, setting the stage for the lecture. Following Venugopal’s introduction, Senior Advocate CS Vaidyanathan will share his remarks. The event will conclude with closing remarks delivered by Senior Advocate Krishnan Venugopal, KK Venugopal’s son.

This memorial lecture not only honours the legacy of MK Nambyar but also provides an opportunity to reflect on the evolution and interpretation of the Indian Constitution beyond its original intent.
