In India, judges for High Courts are appointed through a process involving the Supreme Court Collegium, the Union Law Ministry, and the President of India.

New Delhi, March 26: The Central government has approved the appointment of four lawyers as judges of the Rajasthan High Court. Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced this on Twitter.

Appointed Rajasthan High Court Judges
The four lawyers who have been appointed as Rajasthan High Court judges are:
- Anand Sharma
- Sunil Beniwal
- Sandeep Shah
- Mukesh Rajpurohit
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended seven names for appointment as judges of the Rajasthan High Court. However, the Law Ministry has approved only four out of the seven names. The government has not provided any official statement regarding the remaining three recommendations.
As of March 1, 2024, the Rajasthan High Court has 34 judges in position. The sanctioned strength of the High Court is 50 judges, meaning there are still 16 vacant positions that need to be filled.

Permanent Appointments in Punjab and Haryana High Court
Three additional judges have been considered for elevation as permanent judges. The following appointment has been confirmed:
- Smt. Justice Sudeep Sharma, Addl. Judge (Appointed as Permanent Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court)
- Shri Justice Sumeet Goel, Addl. Judge
- Ms. Justice Kirti Singh, Addl. Judge
Appointment in Chhattisgarh High Court
Three additional judges have been granted a fresh term in the Chhattisgarh High Court. Their extended tenure is aimed at maintaining the stability and functioning of the judiciary in the region:
- Shri Justice Sachin Singh Rajput, Addl. Judge
- Shri Justice Radhakishan Agrawal, Addl. Judge
- Shri Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, Addl. Judge (Reappointed as Additional Judge for a fresh term of one year)
