NEW DELHI: The Central government has approved the appointment of two judicial officers to the Andhra Pradesh High Court. This announcement was made by Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, on X (formerly Twitter) today.
The newly appointed judges are:
- Avadhanam Hari Haranadha Sarma
- Dr. Yadavalli Lakshmana Rao
Their names were recommended for elevation by the Supreme Court Collegium in a meeting held on January 11.
With the appointments, the Andhra Pradesh High Court, which has a sanctioned strength of 37 judges, will now have 30 judges, leaving 7 vacancies.
