CJI Khanna Designates ASG Raghavendra P Shankar As Senior Advocate

NEW DELHI: Raghavendra P Shankar, appointed as ASG in September, now joins an esteemed group of lawyers after the Supreme Court designated him a Senior Advocate. This honor, granted to legal professionals for their expertise, reputation at the Bar, and contributions to the legal field, marks a major milestone in Shankar’s career.

The decision was made by the full court, led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna, on November 29.

Shankar assumed the role of ASG in September 2024. Earlier, in August, the Supreme Court had designated 39 other lawyers as Senior Advocates.
