NEW DELHI: On 1st March( Friday): Patiala House Court in Delhi postponed the hearing for the plea filed by individuals accused in the Parliament security breach case, raising serious allegations against the Delhi Police Special Cell, to March 11.

Today’s adjournment occurred as all the accused retained a new private counsel, who requested time to review the case files and present arguments.
The accused claim they endured torture and coercion to admit to crimes and implicate political parties. Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Amol Shinde, Neelam Azad, Lalit Jha, and Mahesh Kumawat were apprehended last December. Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D leapt from the Lok Sabha gallery, inciting chaos, while Neelam Azad and Amol Shinde released colored gas and slogans outside Parliament.
Until this month, all suspects were under the Delhi Police Special Cell’s custody before transitioning to judicial custody.

Allegations outlined in their plea include:
- Each accused signed approximately 70 blank pages, allegedly under duress.
- They claim torture, including electric shocks, to extract confessions, especially under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), implicating political affiliations.
- During polygraph, narco, or brain mapping tests, two accused were allegedly pressured to name political entities or leaders.
- Accused were coerced to disclose current and previous mobile numbers and visit telecom offices for SIM card issuance without clear reasons.
- They were compelled to provide biometric data and passwords for social media, email, and phone accounts.

The Patiala House Court further remanded Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Lalit Jha, Amol Shinde, Mahesh Kumawat, and Neelam Azad to judicial custody until March 11, extending their custody after the previous term expired.
