Allahabad : The Allahabad High Court dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the mandatory implementation of FASTag for vehicles. The court’s decision reaffirms the legality and necessity of the FASTag system, which aims to streamline toll collection across the country.

“The government has taken adequate steps to ensure the widespread availability of FASTags and has conducted multiple awareness campaigns to educate the public,”
the bench noted.
