NEW DELHI: On Friday, 9th May, YouTuber and journalist Shyam Meera Singh informed the Delhi High Court that he had removed his video containing allegations against Isha Foundation and its founder Jaggi Vasudev, also known as Sadhguru. This was in response to an interim order passed by the Court on March 12, 2025, which instructed him to take down the video.

The petition filed by Isha Foundation, which claims that various videos and online posts are spreading “false and motivated propaganda” against the organization. The foundation has requested the Court to direct social media platforms, including YouTube, to remove such content from their websites and prevent its further circulation.

The case is being heard by Justice Jyoti Singh, who is overseeing the proceedings. During the hearing, Senior Advocate Manik Dogra, representing Isha Foundation, argued that the content in question is not just misleading but also intended to harm the reputation and credibility of the organization.

“The content in question is not only misleading but is also intended to damage the reputation and credibility of the organisation,” said Dogra.

Meanwhile, Advocate Asavari Jain, representing YouTube/Google, informed the Court that the disputed videos had already been taken down.

She said, “the concerned videos have already been removed.” This indicates that the platform has complied with the Court’s instructions to remove the content in question.

In the meantime, the counsel for Defendant No. 4, who is involved in the case, appeared before the Court and requested more time to file a response. The Court granted this request, allowing the defendant additional time to prepare their response.

The Delhi High Court then scheduled the next procedural hearing before the Registrar for July 8, 2025, while the next hearing before the Court was fixed for September 9, 2025.
