The Telangana High Court has suspended the GO allowing ticket hikes and special shows for Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG. Fans are worried about cancellations and refunds as the next hearing is set for October 9.
The problems are not stopping for Sujeeth’s much-awaited Pawan Kalyan film They Call Him OG. The latest twist has come from the Telangana High Court, which has stopped the government order (GO) that had earlier allowed ticket price hikes and special premiere shows for the movie in the state.
According to reports in Sakshi, the High Court has put the GO on hold and the matter will be heard again on 9 October.

Justice NV Shravan Kumar on Wednesday reportedly suspended the GO which gave permission to conduct a special premiere, as well as increase ticket prices for evening shows and for the first ten days after release. This decision has now created confusion among fans and the film’s team.
The GO, which was issued on 19 September, had allowed the makers to hold a special premiere show at 9 PM on 24 September, with tickets priced at Rs 800.
Along with this, ticket prices were allowed to be increased by Rs 100 in single-screen theatres and by Rs 150 in multiplexes from 25 September to 4 October. With the High Court order, this plan is now uncertain.
The makers of They Call Him OG have not yet released any official statement on the issue. It is still unclear whether the premiere and shows in Telangana will happen as planned.
The film is expected to be Pawan Kalyan’s biggest opener, with projections crossing over Rs 100 crore in collections. Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, the government has already allowed 10 PM shows, where ticket prices are set at Rs 1000, and those shows will continue as planned.
Fans of Pawan Kalyan, who were eagerly waiting for the film’s premiere on Wednesday night, were shocked after hearing the news. Many had already booked tickets for the premiere and the first few days of release.
On social media, several fans expressed their disappointment and confusion. One fan wrote, “Em jargutondi ra (What is even happening),” while another shared,
“Mottham shows cancel chesi regular rates pedtara? (Will they cancel all shows and re-release tickets at normal rates?)”
This is not the first time such a problem has come up in Telangana regarding special shows and ticket hikes. Earlier this year, when Ram Charan’s film Game Changer was scheduled for release, a similar situation happened.
The Telangana government had allowed higher ticket prices and special shows for that movie too. However, a petition was filed in the High Court after the tragic stampede incident during the Pushpa 2 celebrations at Sandhya Theatre.
At that time, the High Court asked the government to reconsider its decision, which later resulted in a new GO being issued.
Keeping public health and safety in mind, the Telangana government has also decided not to permit early morning shows for films in the future.
With this latest setback, fans and the film industry will be watching closely to see what happens next in the case of They Call Him OG.
The 9 October hearing before the High Court will be key in deciding whether special shows and higher ticket prices can be allowed for the film’s release in Telangana.
