In a similar incident last August, a local Congress leader, Ravi Chandran (63), suffered a massive heart attack while addressing the media at the Press Club of Bengaluru. He was the President of the Lal Bagh Morning Walkers Association and was holding a press conference to support Chief Minister Siddaramaiah concerning the MUDA scam when he collapsed.
Despite being rushed to a nearby private hospital, he was declared dead by the attending physician. A video of the incident captured Chandran speaking moments before his collapse, and his unexpected death has shocked both the local community and his party members, who remember him as a dedicated leader and supporter of the Congress party.
Following the incident, several legal professionals and bar associations expressed their condolences. Many described Rao as a committed lawyer with a deep understanding of the law, always ready to help junior advocates and guide them in their careers. His passing has raised concerns about the immense stress and pressure that legal professionals face in their daily work.
The Telangana High Court Advocates’ Association released a statement offering condolences to his family and honoring his contributions to the legal community. Many senior advocates and judges expressed their sorrow, recalling his dedication to justice and his work ethic.
More than 50% of patients exhibited prodromal symptoms, particularly chest pain, at least 48 hours before the event. These warning signs are crucial indicators that provide a window of opportunity for intervention and potentially life-saving actions.
Furthermore, the study highlighted the importance of recognizing atypical symptoms, especially in women. Contrary to traditional views, women may not always experience classic chest pain; instead, they might report symptoms such as nausea, indigestion, or back pain leading up to a heart attack.
