New Delhi: The Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, has given its approval for the elevation of eight judicial officers to the position of judges in the Allahabad High Court.
In a meeting held on April 2, 2025, the collegium reviewed the proposals for appointment and subsequently issued an official statement confirming its decision.
The newly appointed judges are Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Abdul Shahid, Anil Kumar-X, Tej Pratap Tiwari, Sandeep Jain, Avnish Saxena, Madan Pal Singh, and Harvir Singh.
This move is part of the ongoing process to strengthen the judiciary by filling vacant positions in one of India’s largest high courts. The Allahabad High Court, known for handling a significant volume of cases, will benefit from these appointments, enhancing judicial efficiency and expediting the dispensation of justice.
