Justice A. Badharudeen passed the order after hearing the matter in detail, stating that
the bail petitions stood dismissed.
A detailed order explaining the reasons for the dismissal is awaited.
The bail applications were filed by:
- K.S. Baiju, former Thiruvabharanam Commissioner of the Travancore Devaswom Board
- N. Vasu, former official of the Travancore Devaswom Board
- B. Murari Babu, former Administrative Officer of Sabarimala
All three are accused in cases related to the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Sabarimala temple, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India.
Allegations of Gold Misappropriation
According to the prosecution, the accused were involved in the theft and misappropriation of gold from:
- Dwarapalaka idols
- Side frames
- Door frames within the Sabarimala temple complex
The alleged crimes reportedly took place during their tenure in various official capacities linked to temple administration and oversight.

The investigation into the Sabarimala gold theft allegations is being conducted by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted following directions from the Kerala High Court. The SIT is examining the role of temple officials, the handling of temple assets, and alleged lapses in accounting and supervision.
