Lucknow: Former BJP MP from Sultanpur, Maneka Gandhi, filed a petition in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, challenging the election of Samajwadi Party MP Ram Bhuwal Nishad.
The petition, submitted by senior advocate Prashant Singh Atal on behalf of Maneka Gandhi, claims that Ram Bhuwal Nishad has 12 cases registered against him but disclosed only 8 in the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission.

The petition expected to be heard by the Lucknow bench on July 30.
The petition requested that the High Court annul Nishad’s election victory and declare Maneka Gandhi as the rightful winner.
