The Karnataka High Court directed a green Lamborghini owner, caught on video driving recklessly, to perform community service as a condition to quash the criminal case against him. “Go in your Lamborghini, sweep the streets,” the Bench said, rejecting his offer to teach students about traffic rules as ironic.

The owner of a green Lamborghini, whose reckless driving was caught on video, was directed by the Karnataka High Court to perform community service as a condition for quashing the criminal case filed against him.
Justice M. Nagaprasanna issued the order while agreeing to quash the criminal proceedings against the accused, Chiranth B R. The judge stated that he would deliver a detailed written order.
The Court was hearing Chiranth’s plea seeking to quash the case registered at the Kengeri police station.
The case was registered after a video of his reckless driving in the Lamborghini featuring a retrofitted silencer went viral on social media.
The incident occurred in December 2025. Although he reportedly paid a fine related to the matter, a criminal case was later registered after police found that the retrofitted silencer had not been changed. He then approached the Court claiming that the silencer had been replaced.
During the hearing, Advocate Rajath, appearing for the accused, argued that Chiranth was being portrayed as a wrongdoer despite not committing any offence. Justice Nagaprasanna, however, disagreed.
The judge said,
“You will go in your Lamborghini, sweep the streets come back in your Lamborghini,”
When the Court asked about the specific community service Chiranth would undertake, the counsel submitted that he would teach school children about traffic signals.
Justice Nagaprasanna responded,
“So you have violated traffic so you will teach traffic. Children will learn – how to violate and learn,”
The State’s counsel also pointed out that it would be ironic for someone who drove the Lamborghini rashly and negligently to teach students about traffic signals in schools.

The prosecution further suggested that any community service should have a direct connection to the nature of the offence, and cited an example of a doctor who had performed service at a government hospital every Sunday for six months after being found guilty of contempt of court.
Ultimately, the Court agreed to quash the FIR and indicated that an order prescribing the community service would be issued.
