Today, On 24th May, The Delhi High Court postponed the hearing on BRS MLC Kavitha’s bail petition to Monday. The delay extends the legal uncertainty for Kavitha. The petition addresses her involvement in a significant legal matter.

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court conducted a hearing regarding the bail applications filed by Kavitha, a member of the legislative council (MLC) belonging to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party.
Kavitha arrested in connection with the Delhi liquor case.
During the proceedings, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) informed the court that they will be submitting a counter-affidavit on Kavitha’s bail petition on May 27th.

The CBI also stated that they intend to file the charge sheet in the case on June 7th.
Additionally, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) also filed a counter-affidavit opposing Kavitha’s bail plea. The ED expressed its readiness to present its arguments before the court in this matter.
The Delhi High Court now seized of the bail petitions filed by Kavitha and will hear the arguments from both the investigative agencies before reaching a decision on her release on bail.
