Jharkhand High Court Slams IAS Officer, Calls Him 'Monkey': "Commission Chahiye Aapko? Kitna Assest Jama Kar Liye 25 Saal Mein? Inquiry Karwae?"

RANCHI: In a viral video, a Jharkhand High Court judge can be seen scolding an IAS officer during a hearing related to land acquisition and compensation. The judge reprimanded the bureaucrat, who had left netizens praising him for standing up against corruption.

During the hearing, the court found that the IAS officer had raised objections to the compensation amount already fixed by the state government. The judge, visibly frustrated, addressed the bureaucrat sharply,

“Who are you to object to the compensation fixed by the state? You want commission, how much commission have you taken so far?”

The judge further emphasized the importance of transparency and public interest,

“When the state government has decided the compensation amount, why are you questioning it? Do you have any personal interest? This is public money and it cannot be misused like this.”

In a moment that has gone viral online, the judge even referred to the IAS officer as a “monkey,” adding,

“When something is fixed by the state then don’t come hopping to take your share like a monkey.”

The court also warned that an inquiry could be initiated and an FIR filed if irregularities were confirmed.

Netizens have lauded the judge for his bold stance against corruption, calling it an inspiring example of judicial integrity. Some comments include,

“If all judges take a right approach and ask these IAS officers, EC, and ED to apply law as per Constitution, 50% of cases will go away from court.”

“If all the country’s institutes remain as strong as Judge Sahib, then the country will improve in 24 hours. In front of the Constitution, no politician, IAS officer, or collector has any worth. Salute to Judge Sahib.”
