Nagarjuna’s N-Convention Centre, embroiled in legal battles for several years, has been at the center of ongoing controversy. The actor faced multiple court cases, including the most recent one, where the High Court stayed the state-initiated demolition of the centre. Nagarjuna expressed his willingness to comply with the law, stating that he would have personally overseen the demolition if the court had ruled against him.

The Telangana High Court intervened to halt the ongoing demolition of N-Convention, a convention centre owned by Telugu superstar Nagarjuna.

Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRA) initiated the demolition of his convention centre, N-Convention. The structure allegedly built on the Full Tank Level (FTL) zone and buffer area surrounding Thimmidkunta Lake.

Nagarjuna, seeking to “clear his reputation,” addressed the situation on social media. In a temporary relief, the High Court now accepted their appeal and issued a stay on the demolition.

Expressing his dismay earlier, Nagarjuna wrote,

“I am pained by the unlawful manner of demolition carried out in respect of N Convention, contrary to existing stay orders and Court cases. I thought it fit to issue this statement to place on record certain facts for protecting my reputation and to indicate that we have not done any actions in violation of law.”

The property faced intense scrutiny due to frequent flooding in nearby areas.

However, Nagarjuna contended,

“The land is a Patta land, and not even an inch of tank plan is encroached. In respect of the building constructed inside the private land, there is a stay order granted against any earlier illegal notice for demolition.”

Nagarjuna asserted that HYDRA “wrongfully carried out the demolition based on misinformation,” especially while judicial proceedings were still ongoing.

He expressed his frustration, stating,

“No notice was issued prior to carrying out the demolition this morning. As a law-abiding citizen, if the Court, before which the matter is pending, had decided against me, I would have carried out the demolition myself.”

Emphasizing his stance that no laws were violated, Nagarjuna added,

“I am placing this on record to correct any public misimpression about wrongful constructions or encroachment by us. We will be seeking appropriate relief from the Court regarding the wrongful actions carried out by the authorities.”

In response to the situation, Justice T Vinod Kumar of the Telangana High Court provided temporary relief to Nagarjuna by halting the ongoing demolition.

A statement from Nagarjuna’s team confirmed,

“The High Court ordered a stay on the demolition of structures owned by Nagarjuna, N-Convention. The actor approached the court for the stay order and was granted it. Justice T Vinod Kumar conducted the inquiry, and the High Court issued an interim order to stop demolitions.”

This legal battle highlights the complexities involved in land use and construction regulations, particularly in areas prone to environmental concerns, and underscores the importance of due process in such high-stakes situations.
