The launch of the free Wi-Fi facility was presided over by Delhi High Court Acting Chief Justice Manmohan, who emphasized the court’s commitment to reforms and staying ahead of the curve. “We must thank our predecessors for it. It takes a huge toll on each and every judge. But this is a small price we pay to ensure that this court stays ahead of the curve,” he said.

NEW DELHI: Today (May 29): The Delhi High Court launched a free Wi-Fi facility on its premises, benefiting lawyers, litigants, and the general public. This development, along with the launch of the court’s new website, aims to enhance the digital infrastructure and accessibility of the judicial system.
The free Wi-Fi service, introduced in Phase I, is now available in key areas of the high court, including the A Block, B Block, C Block, Extension Block, the Mediation Center, and the Lawyers’ Cafeteria. This connectivity is designed to handle a high volume of users, ensuring reliable and fast internet access for advocates, litigants, and visitors.
Phase I of the free Wi-Fi facility was inaugurated on Wednesday by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan of the Delhi High Court, in the presence of Justice Rajiv Shakdher and several other judges.
“We owe our gratitude to our predecessors for this. It takes a significant toll on every judge, but it is a small price to pay to ensure that this court remains ahead of the curve. I believe the bar must recognize and appreciate the efforts of the judges of this court, even beyond court hours,” remarked Justice Manmohan.
In Phase I, the free Wi-Fi facility will be accessible in A Block, B Block, C Block, the Extension Block, the Mediation Center, and the Lawyers’ Cafeteria.
“Advocates, litigants, and visitors can connect to the Wi-Fi network using their mobile devices, laptops, or tablets. The network is designed to support a high volume of users, ensuring reliable and fast internet access. Robust security measures have been implemented to protect users’ data and ensure a safe browsing experience,” stated the High Court in a communication.

“The new website features a responsive web design, automatically adjusting to different screen sizes and ensuring smooth functionality on all devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones,” it was explained.
The new website will offer various facilities for advocates and litigants on a dedicated grid.
“Applications such as e-Filing, e-RTI, e-Sewa Kendra & Accessibility Helpline, Online Gate Pass System, and Registration of Creche Facility are integrated into the website, eliminating the need for users to be redirected to separate URLs. The website also includes several new features, like the e-True Copy Application, a virtual tour, and more information on current and former Hon’ble Judges. A new feature, landmark judgments of the Delhi High Court, will be added in the near future.”
