Kannada actor Darshan, accused of murdering fan Renukaswamy, attended the Sessions Court to finalize bail after receiving interim bail from the Karnataka High Court. Darshan, recently hospitalized for back pain, was released by the court along with his friend Pavithra Gowda. The case, stemming from an alleged conflict over obscene messages, has garnered public attention.

Karnataka: Kannada actor Darshan, accused in the murder of his fan Renukaswamy from Chitradurga district, appeared before the Sessions Court on Monday to complete bail formalities after being granted interim bail by the Karnataka High Court.
Darshan, who had been hospitalised for over six weeks at BGS Hospital in Kengeri due to severe back pain, left the hospital to sign the surety bond. It was clarified that “no surgical procedures were performed on him” during his stay.
The High Court, on December 13, granted bail to all accused in the case, including Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda. Following medical advice, Darshan appeared in court accompanied by his wife Vijayalakshmi and fellow actor Dhanveer.
The actor was arrested on June 11 this year for allegedly killing Renukaswamy on June 8. The allegations stem from claims that Renukaswamy had sent “obscene messages” to Pavithra Gowda, which reportedly escalated into a fatal confrontation.
Darshan’s bail brings temporary relief, but the case has stirred significant public interest. With the legal proceedings ongoing, the focus remains on unravelling the truth behind the tragic incident.
