Khaitan & Co and JSA Advise on Landmark Deal: Weaver Services Acquires Majority Stake in Centrum Housing Finance

Weaver Services Private Limited acquired 75.01% of Centrum Housing Finance from Centrum Capital and other shareholders. Khaitan & Co advised Weavers on this deal and on agreements with Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia to purchase the remaining 24.99% stake in total.

Weaver Services Private Limited’s purchase of a 75.01% controlling stake in Centrum Housing Finance Limited marks a significant strategic move into India’s affordable housing finance space.

Supported by a prominent investor group that includes Premji Invest, Lightspeed, and Gaja Capital, Weaver Services is positioning itself to meet rising demand for accessible home-financing solutions.

Khaitan & Co acted as legal counsel to Weaver Services for the acquisition and for the subsequent binding agreements with Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia, which covers the remaining 24.99% stake.

Centrum Housing Finance and its parent, Centrum Capital Limited, were represented by JSA Advocates & Solicitors.

Khaitan’s core transaction team included Sanjay Khan Nagram (Partner), Srikanth Mantravadi and Shubhangi Tewari, supported by Associates Maansi Reddy Basani and Nikhil Dave.
