Gauhati High Court Today (March 7) granted Absolute Interim Anticipatory Bail to Ashish Chanchlani in connection with the ‘India’s Got Latent’ obscenity case. Chanchlani still awaits Supreme Court’s decision on shifting the case to Mumbai.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) summoned Ranveer Allahabadia, Samay Raina, and others over offensive remarks made on a show. NCW chief Vijaya Rahatkar strongly condemned the language used and emphasized the need for stricter content regulation. She stated that the commission has written to the IT Ministry regarding the issue. The NCW is taking the matter seriously and is pushing for action against such content.

YouTuber Felix Jerald Today (Oct 28) moved the Delhi High Court alleging violation of his human rights by the Tamil Nadu police, which reportedly detained him illegally. Following his plea, Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri granted him time to file additional documents in support of his contention. Jerald was allegedly arrested for hosting an “objectionable” interview of another YouTuber Savukku Shankar on his YouTube channel. The interview purportedly contains objectionable remarks against the Madras High Court and the women police officers of the Tamil Nadu police. The high court listed the matter on December 16.

Bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud Today (Aug 14) granted him interim relief in the matter by staying any further coercive action.
