Today, On 5th December, The DGCA has withdrawn its earlier rule that said “no leave shall be substituted for weekly rest”, giving airlines major relief in managing crew rosters. The revised order, issued on 5 December 2025, aims to ease operational disruptions.
The Trade Marks Registry has withdrawn its approval for registering the trademark ‘CHUTIYARAM’ under Class 30 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999. The decision came on Tuesday, just a day after the mark was published in the Trademark Journal and two weeks after it was initially accepted. In an official order published on Tuesday, the Trade Marks Registry admitted that the acceptance of the application was a mistake and that the mark violated legal provisions under Sections 9 and 11 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999.
NEW DELHI: On Friday(31st Jan), the Supreme Court decided not to entertain a petition that challenged the senior designation of 70 advocates by the Delhi High Court. This petition was filed by Advocate Sanjay Dubey, who had applied for the senior designation but was not granted it by the Delhi High Court.

Senior advocate Vrinda Grover has stepped down from representing the family of the R.G. Kar Medical College rape-murder victim due to unforeseen circumstances. Her legal team provided pro bono support since September 2024 in various courts. The case, involving the tragic death of a trainee doctor, is now under CBI investigation.
The Supreme Court Today (Nov 4) adjourned by four weeks the hearing on a plea against the withdrawal of consent to the CBI for probing a DA case against Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan deferred the matter after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had also filed an appeal against the Karnataka High Court order.

Today (9th May): The Calcutta High Court allowed Kalyan Chaub, BJP candidate from Manikatala, to withdraw his election petition due to time constraints. This follows criticism from the Supreme Court and uncertainty about holding a by-election. Kalyan challenged the 2021 election results, alleging vote-buying and coercion by the winning Trinamool candidate.
Jai Anant Dehadrai withdrew his defamation case against Mahua Moitra in the Delhi High Court after she labeled him “jobless” and “jilted.” Dehadrai’s counsel expressed willingness to drop the suit if Moitra refrained from making false statements about him. With Moitra’s counsel seeking instructions, Dehadrai unconditionally withdrew the suit, which was accepted by the court.
