The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad’s annual cultural festival, ‘Chaos 2025,’ will take place from January 9 to 12, featuring esteemed speakers like former Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud and Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, along with performances by Grammy winner Ricky Kej, Amit Trivedi, and fusion band Pineapple Express. The event will also include workshops and masterclasses on diverse topics like design thinking, dance, art, and influencer marketing, continuing its legacy as a vibrant celebration of learning and culture since 1996.
The Bombay High Court issued a temporary injunction against Sherry Singh, the 2023 “Mrs. India” pageant winner, barring her from participating in any national or international beauty contests until her ongoing dispute with the Mrs India pageant organisation is resolved. Court noted that since Singh has not filed any objection to the enforcement of a negative covenant preventing her from participating, there’s no reason why the interim relief as sought should not be granted.
The Supreme Court ordered a vote recount in the Chandigarh mayoral election, declaring Aam Aadmi Party’s Kuldeep Kumar the winner. Eight ballots marked for Kumar were invalidated by the Returning Officer, but the Court ruled them as valid. The Court criticized the Officer’s actions, emphasizing the need to uphold democracy. The recount is expected to favor Kumar’s victory.
