The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Yesterday (Jan 8) strongly urged the Supreme Court administration to replace its current Wi-Fi service provider, citing persistent connectivity issues in key areas like Libraries, Lounges, and Corridors. Despite repeated complaints, the problems remain unresolved, prompting the SCBA to call for immediate action to ensure smooth online work for its members. “It is very strange that the manner in which the Registry staff is espousing the present vendor raises the eyebrows,” the letter stated.
The Delhi High Court intervened on behalf of a street vendor whose bank account was frozen due to a mere Rs 105 linked to a cyber fraud case. The court emphasized the vendor’s right to livelihood, ordering the Union Bank of India to de-freeze the account while marking a lien on the disputed amount, enabling him to continue his business.
