Supreme Court Deliberates Mandatory Color-Coded Vehicle Stickers Proposal: ‘So Many Polluting Vehicles on the Roads’

The Supreme Court is deliberating on mandating colour-coded stickers for vehicles to improve air quality monitoring and compliance. A bench comprising Justices Abhay S. Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan questioned the implementation of stringent GRAP-4 (Graded Response Action Plan) measures amid worsening AQI levels in Delhi. “Police Empowered to Take Action Against Lawyers Misusing ‘Advocate Stickers’ for Immunity”: HC

The Madras High Court Today (July 2nd) said that the Police should take action against the misuse of ‘advocate’ stickers on private vehicles. A bench of acting Chief Justice R Mahadevan and Justice Mohammed Shafiq was hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) petition alleging that lawyers were misusing ‘advocate stickers’ on their private vehicles to seek immunity from traffic offences etc.
