The Delhi Police Today (Sept 4) told the high court that former IAS probationer Puja Khedkar submitted two disability certificates to show multiple disabilities and its probe has revealed that one of the documents may be “forged” and “fabricated”.
The Delhi High Court criticized the Health Minister and Lieutenant Governor for the poor health infrastructure in Delhi. The court directed a meeting involving senior officials to address the urgent need for recruiting 38,000 additional health workers. The Court also instructed the AIIMS Director to oversee the implementation of healthcare improvement measures.
The CBI requested custody of the owner of a coaching institute and others involved in the death of three UPSC aspirants due to waterlogging. The institute allegedly violated building usage regulations, leading to tragic deaths. The court ordered the accused to be remanded to CBI custody, citing the necessity of a thorough investigation.
Puja Khedkar contested the UPSC’s decision to disqualify her, arguing that once appointed as a probationer, the commission lacked the authority to revoke her candidature. The UPSC accused her of fraudulent practices, leading to legal proceedings including a criminal case and suspension of her probation period. Khedkar denies the allegations and challenges the UPSC’s actions in court.
Today, On 21st August, The Delhi High Court extended the interim protection for suspended trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar until August 29. Khedkar is accused of falsifying information in her application to the UPSC. The court instructed the investigation agency not to arrest her, while the case is under review. The Delhi Police have opposed the anticipatory bail, expressing concerns about potential interference with the investigation.
Today(9th August),The Delhi High Court has rescheduled the hearing of former IAS officer Puja Khedkar’s anticipatory bail application to August 12, following an adjournment of the original Friday session due to the bench led by Justice Subramonium Prasad not convening.
The UPSC has informed today the Delhi High Court that it will issue a formal order cancelling Puja Khedkar’s candidature within two days. Khedkar had challenged the cancellation, stating she only had a press release and could not approach the tribunal. The court granted her the liberty to challenge the cancellation before the appropriate forum.
Today, On 5th August, Former IAS trainee Puja Khedkar has contested the UPSC’s decision to revoke her candidature. The case will be heard in the Delhi High Court. The UPSC accused her of violating examination rules, leading to a permanent ban from future exams. Additional allegations include falsifying identity and misusing her position. Charges against her include cheating and forgery.

The court will decide whether she will be protected from arrest during the investigation. The UPSC has taken actions against her, including filing an FIR and cancelling her candidature for future exams.
