Delhi HC: Deemed Universities Exempt from RTI Act Unless Under Government Control

Today, On 28th June, The Delhi High Court ruled that deemed universities are not subject to the RTI Act unless government-controlled. The decision followed a petition for student information from Vinayak Mission University. The court upheld the CIC’s decision, citing lack of government control or funding.
