Today(on 2nd May), the CBI conducted an inquiry into land appropriation accusations against Trinamool Congress’s Sheikh Shahjahan in Sandeshkhali. Locals accused him and his associates of land seizure and mistreatment of women. The CBI also issued notices to individuals associated with him regarding an attack on the Enforcement Directorate.
