Today, On 30th October, The Supreme Court has ruled that the ‘Udayasthamana Pooja’ at Kerala’s Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple will be held on December 1 as per long-followed tradition, noting that the sacred day-long ritual has been performed continuously since 1972.
On Tuesday(18th June),The Bombay High Court criticized the Maharashtra government for misinterpreting its order allowing animal slaughter at Vishalgad Fort during Bakri Eid and Urs, expressing concern that this interpretation could lead to disharmony and unrest. The court emphasized that its permission applied to all devotees and urged the authorities to adhere to the directive in both letter and spirit.
