The Supreme Court today expressed concern over Delhi’s water crisis, questioning the government’s inaction against the tanker mafia. It demanded an account of measures taken and warned of police intervention if necessary. The court also highlighted procedural lapses in resolving the water supply issue and emphasized the urgent need for collaboration among stakeholders.
The Supreme Court Today (May 3rd) ordered the Central government to hold a meeting of stakeholders to address the Delhi government’s demand for supply of additional water from Himachal Pradesh through Haryana.
