Today(on 22nd March), Governor RN Ravi invited DMK leader K Ponmudi to be sworn in as a minister, following Supreme Court intervention. The Court reprimanded the Governor for initially refusing Ponmudi’s reappointment, emphasizing that its orders must be followed. Ponmudi, a former minister, was able to regain legislative membership due to the Court’s temporary suspension of his conviction.
