The Delhi High Court Today (Feb 14) extended interim bail for Jaideep Sengar, brother of expelled BJP leader Kuldeep Sengar, until March 11 on medical grounds. Jaideep, convicted in the Unnao rape survivor’s father’s custody death case, was sentenced to 10 years in jail but sought bail due to his mouth cancer treatment. The court stated, “no leniency” in such cases, while the appeal against the verdict remains pending.

The Delhi High Court had granted him interim bail on medical grounds, directing his surrender by January 27 if the surgery didn’t occur. His appeal against the 2019 verdict and other legal matters, including a custodial death case, are pending in court.
The Allahabad High Court sought guidelines for changing names after sex reassignment surgery, following a transman’s request to update his details in school records. The court directed the State to investigate existing regulations and ordered the State Board to review and decide on the application within four weeks.
Today(on 16th April), The Delhi High Court has requested the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to respond to Daud Nasir’s plea for interim bail due to his wife’s urgent need for surgery after an accident. Nasir is accused in the Delhi Waqf Board money laundering case. The court has set the next hearing for May, and Nasir’s regular bail request is scheduled for May 16.
