Supreme Court Sets 6-Week Deadline For Centre To Respond To PIL For Chemical Castration For Rapists: ‘Ask Women Lawyers for Suggestions’

Today, On 16th December, The Supreme Court issued a notice on a plea by the SC Women Lawyers Association seeking pan-India safety guidelines for women, children, and the third gender. The petition also calls for banning free online pornography, highlighting its negative societal impact. The court noted these issues involve policy matters requiring government action and scheduled further hearings for January 2025.
