The Supreme Court Today (Aug 6) set aside Madras High Court order that stopped the Tamil Nadu government from using names or photos of current or past CM in welfare schemes. It also fined AIADMK leader C Ve Shanmugam Rs 10 lakh for misusing the law.
A plea in the Supreme Court Today (Aug 4) challenged the Madras High Court order banning the use of living persons’ names, ex-CMs’ photos, and party symbols in government scheme ads. The case will be heard urgently on August 6.
