The Supreme Court of India allowed lawyers to appear via video conferencing from February 16 to February 20 due to traffic disruptions near Bharat Mandapam during the AI Impact Summit. The move followed request from Supreme Court Bar Association, officially issued.
Today. on 29th January, the Supreme Court unveiled administrative reforms using artificial intelligence to boost judicial efficiency and reduce case pendency. Chief Justice of India Surya Kant called it “some good news,” saying technology and AI are increasingly being used to streamline court administration.
Senior advocate Indira Jaising called the placement of a men’s toilet midway along the Supreme Court corridor “highly offensive to women,” criticising it as a leftover from a male-dominated era that ignores gender-sensitive design.
