Kolkata: The RG Kar case, taken a new turn following the recent verdict. A group of lawyers and social activists has sent a letter to Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Sanjiv Khanna, urging a fresh investigation into the case. This request comes after key observations made by the judge of the Sealdah court during the trial.
New Delhi [India], January 17: The Rouse Avenue Court has issued a production warrant to bring accused Amit Katyal in connection with the Land for Job money laundering case. The court has scheduled the next hearing for January 31, 2025. Katyal is currently in judicial custody and lodged in Bhondsi Jail, Haryana, in another case filed by the Gurugram Police.
Special Judge Kaveri Baweja today extended Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody till September 3, following CBI’s revelation that he promised Rs 90 lakhs to 40 Goa election candidates, with funding from the South Group.
