[DHFL Bank Loan Case] “Petitioner Falls Under The Category of Sick Person”: Delhi HC Grants Bail to Dheeraj Wadhawan on Medical Grounds

Today, On 9th September, The Delhi High Court granted Dheeraj Wadhawan bail on medical grounds in a CBI case related to a bank fraud. The court reversed the trial court’s order and requested the CBI to provide a status report. The Supreme Court had previously overturned a decision granting bail to Dheeraj and his brother. The CBI had filed a chargesheet, and the trial court had granted default bail.

Madras HC Warns of Dismissal: ‘Isha Foundation’ Missing Person Case

On Thursday( 18th April),The Madras High Court warned of dismissing the missing person case against Isha Foundation if the petitioner, C. Thirumalai, fails to attend. Thirumalai sought intervention from the High Court after his brother’s disappearance from the foundation. Tamil Nadu Police requested more time to submit a comprehensive status report.

On Tuesday (April 3rd), the Madras High Court issued a directive to the Tamil Nadu government, instructing them to submit a status report regarding the investigation progress into accusations of fund misappropriation intended for housing the impoverished under both the Central government’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-G) and the State’s Chief Minister Solar Powered Green Housing Scheme.
