The Delhi High Court Today (Dec 5) ordered the Delhi government to extend State protection to music producer Amandeep Batra after he reported receiving threats and extortion calls from the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gangs. “He (Amandeep Batra) has every reason to be scared,” said Justice Singh said before directing the Delhi government to immediately provide the music producer State protection.
A woman employee of the West Bengal Raj Bhawan has moved the Supreme Court over alleged sexual harassment by Governor CV Ananda Bose, challenging the immunity granted to the Governor under Article 361. The plea questions the victim being left without recourse and seeks thorough investigation by the West Bengal police, as well as guidelines on the Governor’s immunity.
