Today, On 27th May, The Delhi High Court refused interim relief to the Rouse Avenue Court ahlmad accused in a bribery case, observing, “Very, very serious allegations. The evidence has come on record. A person from our own staff… this is serious.”
Mumbai: A group of women lawyers has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, raising concerns about the lack of proper toilet facilities for women at the Maharashtra State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (SCDRC) in Mumbai.
The Bombay High Court Today (Feb 21) directed the Maharashtra government to quickly address staff shortages, warning that court functioning is severely affected. Judges emphasized the urgent need for skilled staff to handle digital case management.
The Supreme Court on Thursday batted for a permanent building, along with permanent staff, for the Jammu and Kashmir Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), saying it will be prudent for the government not to deploy outsourced staff in judicial and quasi-judicial bodies. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan was informed by the Centre that a building has been taken on rent for the functioning of the CAT, Jammu and there will be deployment of outsourced staff.
CJI D Y Chandrachud on Wednesday (July 10th) inaugurated the new multi-facilitation centre inside the Supreme Court premises. The other apex court judges and staff were also present during the function.
