X Corp (formerly Twitter) has approached the Delhi High Court, asserting that a video allegedly showing journalist Rajat Sharma using foul language against Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak is neither fake nor edited. They seek to vacate an interim order directing the removal of the video from their platform and accounts of Congress leaders.
Today, On 5th July, The Delhi High Court issued notices to Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, and Ragini Nayak in response to journalist Rajat Sharma’s plea, alleging non-compliance with a directive to remove offensive social media posts. The court asked for an explanation and scheduled a further hearing. The controversy arose from allegations made during a television debate.
