The Bombay High Court issued a temporary injunction restraining a Shiv Sena leader from making defamatory, slanderous, libelous or communal remarks against a slum developer, stressing that such statements cannot be permitted under law during the dispute.
Today, On 16th July, The Bombay High Court stressed the need for Mumbai to become a slum-free city, emphasizing safe and dignified housing for all residents. It highlighted the importance of strict implementation of the Maharashtra Slum Area Act and urged for sustainable development with open spaces. The court also emphasized accountability in slum redevelopment projects.
