Delhi High Court today grants Centre a deadline extension until July 25 to decide on office space allocation for AAP, a recognized national party. The court emphasized the party’s right to secure a space from the general housing pool in Delhi, rejecting pressure or lack of availability as justifications for rejection. SC previously set August 10 as the deadline for vacating the current office.
The Delhi High Court issued a notice on 10th May, to the deceased sanitation worker’s wife in response to the Delhi Government’s appeal challenging the order for enhanced compensation. The court instructed the government to pay Rs 30 lakh within six weeks, as sought by the woman in accordance with Supreme Court directives on manual scavenging victim compensation. The case is scheduled for the next hearing in October.
