Karnataka: Today, 14th March, The Karnataka High Court has temporarily stayed the trial court’s February 28 order, which had taken judicial notice (cognisance) of a sexual harassment case filed against former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO Act).
The Karnataka High Court today reserved its order on the plea to cancel the bail granted to Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Revanna, accused of abducting a woman. Justice M Nagaprasanna expressed concern over the severity of the case and remarked that bail should not have been granted. The court heard arguments from both sides and reserved its decision.

Karnataka High Court today postponed the hearing to dismiss the POCSO case against former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa until July 26. Yediyurappa has been granted dispensation from appearing in court on July 15 for an alleged sexual harassment case involving a minor. The CID has filed a chargesheet, and the case dates back to February.
