Renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi has been sentenced to two years in jail in a cheque bounce case in Jamnagar, Gujarat. He must also pay the complainant Rs 2 crore. The case stemmed from a loan agreement with an industrialist that resulted in bounced checks worth Rs 1 crore. Despite the verdict, Santoshi can appeal within 30 days.
