New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday (31st Dec) asked for details about where Rohingya refugees are staying in Delhi. A bench led by Justice Surya Kant and including Justice N. Kotiswar Singh was hearing a petition filed by NGO Rohingya Human Rights Initiative.
The Delhi High Court, on March 5th, temporarily adjusted the income threshold for EWS school admissions to Rs 2.5 lakh, overturning a previous ruling setting it at Rs 5 lakh. The division bench’s decision aims to facilitate admissions for economically weaker families. This modification follows the government’s appeal, citing difficulties in implementing the higher threshold.
