Today, On 17th November, The Supreme Court granted four weeks to the Centre and other parties to file their responses in the Sahara–Adani asset sale case. The Court adjourned Sahara’s plea and said the matter will be listed again after six weeks.
Today, On 14th November, The Supreme Court agreed to hear interim pleas from Sahara Group employees on November 17 seeking release of their overdue salaries. On the same day, the Court will also take up SICCL’s request to sell 88 prime properties to Adani Properties.
On Thursday(5th September),The Supreme Court directed Sahara Group to deposit Rs 1,000 crore into an escrow account within 15 days and permitted a joint venture to develop its Versova land, aiming to realize Rs 10,000 crore. This amount is required to be deposited into the SEBI-Sahara refund account to return investors’ money as per a 2012 court order.
