Today, On 15th September, The Supreme Court said Vantara follows the law strictly and is a pride of India. It stressed that positive developments must be appreciated, noting the SIT report confirmed compliance and addressed all concerns about animal care and management.
The Supreme Court-appointed SIT will hold its first meeting in Delhi tomorrow to investigate Reliance-owned Vantara over alleged illegal animal trade, smuggling and financial irregularities, marking the beginning of a crucial probe into the controversial wildlife project.
Vantara responded to the Supreme Court SIT probe order stating, “Committed to transparency, compassion and full compliance with the law.” The Reliance Foundation project reaffirmed its dedication to animal welfare, regulatory standards, and lawful practices in wildlife care.
Supreme Court sets up SIT headed by Justice Jasti Chelameswar to investigate Ambani’s Vantara case. “Accordingly, we deem it appropriate to direct for constitution of a Special Investigation Team of respectable persons of impeccable integrity and high repute.”
