Delhi High Court: “Not Our Job” | Rejects PIL Seeking Changes to Boundaries of UP, Haryana, and Punjab

The Delhi High Court today dismissed a plea seeking to alter boundaries and relocate capitals, emphasizing that only Parliament can modify state boundaries. The petitioner’s request to divide the joint High Court for Punjab and Haryana was also rejected as beyond the court’s jurisdiction, citing Article 3 of the Constitution. The PIL was consequently rejected.
