The Telangana High Court summoned the state’s Home Department to address a writ petition alleging police misconduct, despite previous court orders. The plea, filed by G. Swetha and G. Rakesh, accused local police officials of unlawfully detaining Rakesh, in violation of a conditional bail order. Additionally, the court upheld the death sentence of Dinesh Kumar Dharne for the rape and murder of a minor girl in 2017.
