In the ongoing Tamil Nadu government vs. Governor row, the Supreme Court emphasized that “authorities occupying high offices must uphold constitutional values.” The court criticized Governor RN Ravi’s actions, suggesting they were influenced by extraneous factors. Though the ruling came on April 8, 2025, it was made public only recently.
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India has rejected a petition calling for the immediate removal of Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi from his position. The plea was presented before a bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna, along with Justice Sanjay Kumar.
